Peter Andre: I thought I was going to die when I had chest pains

Singer couldn't breath properly

Peter Andre admits he thought he was going to die when he was taken ill with chest pains last week. 

The singer, 37, slumped over in agony while out for a jog near his West Sussex home.

'I'd only been running for about 10 minutes when I suddendly had the most excruciating stabbing pains in my chest,' explains Pete.

'I couldn't breath properly and immediately thought I was having a heart attack. I thought I was dying!'

Pete managed to stagger back to his home and his brother called an ambulance. 

'Thankfully, when the medics arrived, they did tests immediately and deduced that I'd probably torn a ligament in my chest and that was what was causing the pain,' he explains.

'Apparently, the feeling you get when this happens is very similar to a heart attack so they totally understoon why I was so terrified.' 

Peter has now been ordered to take it easy while he recovers. 

'It's just a case of resting for a few weeks,' he adds. 'Hopefully the ligament will heal.'
