Lindsay Lohan's lawyer has quit - just days after the actress was sentenced to 90 days in prison.
Shawn Chapman Holley has not given a reason for her withdrawal.
Yesterday's announcement came shortly after she released a statement criticising the sentence.
'We believe that the penalty is far harsher than what others would have received under similar circumstances,' it read.
'The reality is that Ms Lohan, like most defendants, had to balance work commitments with court requirements.
'To be punished so severely for doing so, particularly in light of the fact that she substantially complied with each of her probationary conditions, is harsh and unfair.'
A rep for Shawn insists she still stands by her comments, despite her resignation from the case.
Her replacement has not been announced.
Lindsay received the jail sentence on Tuesday for violating the terms of her probation from a 2007 case.
A California judge ruled that she had failed to complete all the alcohol education classes she'd been ordered to take.
Lindsay, 24, has to surrender to the court on 20 July to begin her jail sentence.
