Dannii Minogue says Kris Smith is the best dad in the world

Dannii Minogue and boyfriend Kris Smith have released the first photos of their new baby boy.

In a family Twitter snap, the proud parents are seen smiling as son Ethan Edward Smith sleeps in a carrier.  

'Hey everyone, thanks for all your wishes,' Dannii writes.

'We are loving baby Ethan and Kris is the best dad in the world.'

Ethan's proud father has also put a snap of his new son on his Twitter page showing the little boy snuggled up in a blanket.

X Factor judge Dannii, 38, gave birth by Cesarian at the Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, on Monday.

Ethan weighed a healthy 8lb 3oz.
