Cheryl Cole: I was so insecure in myself

The X Factor judge wasn't always the confident star she is now

Cheryl Cole wasn't always totally hot

Cheryl Cole admits she had insecurities about her style when she started out in showbusiness.

She took a while to learn what really suits her.

‘There are so many looks and hairstyles where I think, "What was I doing?"' says Cheryl.

‘In the beginning the bob I had didn't flatter my face at all.

‘It just made it look rounder and I was so insecure in myself then as well.'

Cheryl, 26, reckons her years in Girls Aloud have taught her some valuable lessons.

‘In Girls Aloud we used to get a lot of stick about how we looked,' she tells Company.

‘The hair, the make-up... so you learn from that.'

Cheryl is currently filming the new series of the X Factor.
