Model says she had to teach ex-footballer a thing or two

Danielle Bux says Gary Lineker was a rubbish cook

Danielle Bux reckons husband Gary Lineker has had a lot to learn about domestic life.

Football pundit Gary, who was married to first wife Michelle Cockayne for 20 years, needed a few lessons in the kitchen when he and Danielle moved in together.

‘He was useless before he met me,' Danielle, 31, says.

‘I've really helped him with his cooking. Since Gary's been on Masterchef he has found his confidence and he now thinks he's good!'

But Danielle, who is currently presenting a World Cup guide for GMTV, says 49-year-old Gary is quick to repay the favour and has been giving her tips for her TV career.

‘He's really helped me and taught me things,' she explains.

‘How to work my voice, put emphasis on words and smile more because I'm a bit self-conscious.'

‘Some people would mind if their husband gave them advice on that kind of stuff, but he's a fantastic broadcaster so I'm happy to take all the advice I can get.'

Danielle and Gary got married in Italy in September 2009.
