She’s struggling to make her big day one to remember…

Katie Price's wedding to Peter Andre in 2005 was hailed as the event of the year but fast-forward five years and her upcoming nuptials to Alex Reid tell a different story. As Now can reveal, the glamour model has had to resort to using Facebook to invite celebrity guests to her big day.

Katie's been sending private messages to celeb pals including Davina McCall and ex-Sugababes singer Keisha Buchanan in the hope of securing the most high profile names she can, which is likely to boost ratings of her ITV2 show What Katie Did Next.

The 32-year-old is also scouting for stars to be her bridesmaids but her search is so far proving fruitless.

'Katie realises she's not as popular as she used to be,' a source tells Now.

'She's lined up her sister Sophie, daughter Princess, Emma B and maybe Michelle Heaton as bridesmaids but they're not the big names she had when she married Pete.

'She's starting to feel the pressure, as most of the bridesmaids from her first wedding don't speak to her now.

'Initially she wanted 15 bridesmaids but she knows that's not going to happen.

'She's worried the day will end up being a flop.' Katie's limited list is in stark contrast to that of her wedding to Peter.

Then, she did anything but scrape the barrel for guests - with Sarah Harding and Kerry Katona as bridesmaids and guests including Vanessa Feltz and Paul Gascoigne.

Her dress was designed by Isabell Kristensen, whereas now designers are said to be running a mile from any association with her.

With a multi-million-pound fortune, you'd think Katie would pull out all the stops when it comes to the catering, flowers and other aspects of her big day.

Instead, pals close to her tell us: 'It looks like she's really cutting corners.

'She's using a catering service her mum knows and is having a buffet meal instead of a sit-down dinner.'

A spokesman for Katie Price declined to comment.
