James Corden has recently recorded a song with Dizzee Rascal for the World Cup

Host James Corden had a spat on stage at the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards in London's Mayfair on Tuesday.

When Sir Patrick Stewart took to the stage to present Zoe Saldana with the award for Best Film Actress, he appeared not to recognise the Gavin And Stacey star.

'It's James isn't it?' asked Patrick.

He then gave James a ticking off for standing at the back of the stage with his hands in his pockets when award winners made their acceptance speeches.

'From where I was sitting, I could see your belly,' Patrick told him, reports Metro.

'You could see my belly? Everyone here can see you dying right now,' retaliated James, who'd earlier joked about having a crush on Nick Jonas.

Patrick continued: 'If you fancy the Jonas Brothers, cover your belly.'

James, 31, then carried on the insults after Patrick, 69, had left the stage.

'Can we get a taxi please?' he quipped.

'There's an old man going home.'
