Cheryl Cole files for divorce from Ashley

Papers lodged at London's High Court

Cheryl Cole has started divorce proceedings against husband Ashley. 

The X Factor judge's lawyers filed the papers at London's High Court yesterday afternoon at 2pm.

Cheryl, 26, is citing 'unreasonable behaviour' as the reason for ending their 3-year marriage.  

'She wants a completely clean break with no malice or wrangling over property or money,' a source tells The Sun.

'She will not take one penny of Ashley's money.'

Cheryl split from Chelsea footballer Ashley, 29, in February following allegations he cheated on her.
