Simon Monjack has heart attack

Simon Monjack was living with Brittany Murphy's mum Sharon after her death

Brittany Murphy's widower Simon Monjack has passed away at the age of 39.

The British scriptwriter died of a heart attack at his home in LA last night.

Brittany's mother Sharon is believed to have found Simon unconscious in his bedroom and called the emergency services.

He was pronounced dead at the scene after resuscitation efforts failed, reports ETOnline.

Brittany, 32, died from a cardiac arrest - caused by pneumonia - in December.
