Geri Halliwell wants to keep hold of her man

After he was caught out holding hands with pretty blonde Helen Fenwick in the early hours of the morning, Geri Halliwell's fiancé Henry Beckwith told her: ‘I was tipsy and she's a family friend.'

As excuses go, it's got to be up there with the one about Ashley Cole lending a friend a phone with naked pictures of himself on it.

Geri's swallowing Henry's excuse - for now - but friends secretly think it won't be long before this romance goes the inevitable way of all her relationships.

‘Geri only believes what she wants to believe,' one friend tells Now. ‘End of story.'

It's the second time Geri has been embarrassed by Henry. 


In January he was arrested and cautioned for possessing cocaine.

The couple have been dating for over a year, which Geri herself admits is the longest relationship that she's had for 16 years.

There were even rumours that there were plans to wed later this year after the couple were spotted visiting a church.

Her friend adds: ‘Geri struggles to make the right choices with men, it's fair to say.'
