Frank Lampard's dad: I hope Christine marries my son

Footballer's father approves of the relationship

Christine Bleakley and Frank Lampard are all loved-up

Frank Lampard's father is keen for his son's relationship with new girlfriend Christine Bleakley to flourish.

‘Frank has had a really tough time and she puts a smile on his face,' says Frank Lampard Snr. 'As a dad, that is what you want to see.

‘I am so proud and so happy for him that he has found Christine. She is a lovely girl and is making Frank very, very happy. He seems like a different man these days.'

Frank, 31, split from ex Elen Rivas, 35, in February last year and is dad to daughters, Luna Coco, 4 and Isla, 3 this week.

He got together with Christine, 31, in October.

‘What makes me happy too is that she [Christine] is a career girl,' Frank Snr, 63, tells The People. 'She works very hard. I think that is one of the things that appeals to Frank.

‘She's ambitious. She certainly isn't the type to be after a footballer for the money... I hope one day they will get married.'
