Model of actress unveiled at Madame Tussauds in London

Helen Mirren's Madame Tussauds waxwork wears the actress's own frock

Helen Mirren is looking a bit waxy.

The actress, 64, unveiled a replica figure of herself at Madame Tussauds in London yesterday.

The model cost £150,000 to make and has been dressed in the black outfit that Dame Helen wore to the Crime Thriller Awards in October 2008. 

'My husband [director Taylor Hackford] wants to marry her,' she joked at yesterday's unveiling. 

‘I'm much more argumentative than she is.'

Madame Tussauds' Liz Edwards added: 'Dame Helen has frequently topped the visitor surveys we run to find out who the public want to see here.'
