Danny Dyer has lost his advice column in a lads' magazine after he appeared to jokily advise a reader to assault his ex-girlfriend.
In his Zoo problem page, the actor was asked by a 23-year-old for help getting over a relationship.
‘[One] option is to cut your ex's face, then no-one will want her,' said the article.
After launching an investigation, bosses have now decided to drop the page.
'As an immediate result of an ongoing internal inquiry following an indefensible comment published in this week's issue, Zoo has decided to bring the Danny Dyer column to an end,' reads a statement.
Danny, 32, has denied that the remarks were his.
‘This is totally out of order, I am totally devastated,' he told The Sun when the story hit the headlines.
‘I have been completely misquoted. This is not the advice I would give any member of the public I do not condone violence against women.'
Last week, Zoo editor Tom Etherington said the magazine would make a donation to Women's Aid, a charity that supports victims of domestic violence.
