Amanda Seyfried used to be terrifed of the idea of making love.
The Dear John star, 24, blames her small-town upbringing in Pennsylvania for leading her to think sex was wrong.
'I had a fight with my friend when I touched a boy for the first time and I didn't tell her,' explains Amanda.
'She got mad with me, not because I didn't tell her but because I'd done it in the first place.
'When my sister lost her virginity I thought that was dirty and disgusting, and I was scared of sex.'
Amanda - who is dating actor and Mamma Mia! co-star Dominic Cooper - now has a completely different attitude.
'Intimacy is a wonderful thing,' she tells Stella.
'It's frustrating that growing up I thought it was wrong. It isn't. Exploring your sexuality is important when you're growing up.'
