Gabriel Aubry confirms split from Halle Berry

Couple vow to remain friends

Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry were together for 4 years

Halle Berry has broken up with model boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.

The couple ‘split some time ago', confirms publicist Meredith O'Sullivan.

Halle - who was snapped holding hands with a mystery man at Broadway play Fences in New York last night - and Gabriel will remain friends for the sake of their 2-year-old daughter Nahla.

‘While I will not comment on all of the wild inaccuracies being speculated about in the media, I am sad to say that Halle and I have decided together to separate at this time,' Gabriel, 34, says in a statement to Access Hollywood.

‘She is, and will forever be one of the most special and beautiful people that I have ever known, and I am certain that we will continue to have only love and respect for one another.

‘We have been blessed with the most amazing daughter in the world, and her happiness and well-being are the most important thing for both of us. Please respect our privacy during this very difficult time.'

Halle, 43, started dating Gabriel after they met at a Versace store opening in Manhattan in February 2006.
