Sophie Ellis-Bextor won't compare herself to Kate Moss.
Sophie took over from the supermodel as the face of Rimmel in 2008, but the songstress isn't convinced she's a fashion icon herself.
‘I'm really proud to be associated with Rimmel, but I really don't see myself as following Kate Moss's footsteps,' she tells Now Online.
‘She's one of the world's most iconic supermodels, so I think it would be a bit much for me to be thinking that I'm taking over.'
The singer, 31, who juggles her successful pop career with family life, is mum to two young sons - Sonny and Kit - with husband Richard Jones, bassist with The Feeling.
Sophie loves fashion design and wouldn't be opposed to creating her own line of clothes.
‘I do like dressing up, so yeah if I did get approached about doing a range of clothes, I'd definitely enjoy myself,' she says.
‘It's not something I'm working on, but if the opportunity came up it would be fun. Who'd say no?'
Sophie's new single, Bittersweet, is available to download on 2 May and on CD from 3 May.
