Jessica Alba was not injured

Jessica Alba caused a smoke alarm to go off at New York's Smyth Hotel on Wednesday.

The singer had been trying to make fish fingers for her 22 month-old daughter.

‘They were preparing Honor's dinner,' her rep Brad Cafarelli tells People.

‘[There was] no fire - just some smoke that unfortunately set off the alarm.'

Jessica, 29, is in New York to promote her movie The Killer Inside Me at the Tribeca Film Festival.
