Sonique gets cancer all-clear

Singer wants to move on with her life

Sonique has enjoyed chart success with hits I Put A Spell On You and It Feels So Good

Sonique has been given the all-clear following her battle with breast cancer.

The singer, real name Sonia Clarke, was diagnosed with the disease in May 2009 and has since had several operations, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. 

'It's all good and they've given me the thumbs up... so I'm just trying not to hang on to that whole thing now,' Sonique, 41, tells the BBC.

'Rather than thinking I'm on the road to recovery now, I've recovered and it's time to pick up the pieces and move on and forget about that place. You just have to think positive.' 

Sonique has recorded a new version of Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Want To Have Fun with 19 other celebs, in aid of Cancer Research UK.
