Doctor Who star Karen Gillan says her house could be infested with ghosts.

The actress's mum has convinced her that their home is haunted. 

'Paranormal activity [scares me],' Karen, 22, tells the Daily Record.

'If I'm at home on my own and trying to sleep, I can get quite freaked out and need to look around every few seconds.

'My mother is adamant there are ghosts in our house, which hasn't helped me. She thinks we've got a presence.'

Karen stars as Amy Pond alongside Matt Smith, 27, in Doctor Who.
