Dizzee Rascal and Lily Allen lead Ivor Novello nominations

Girls Aloud are also up for an award

Dizzee Rascal's hit Bonkers is up for Best Contemporary Song

Dizzee Rascal and Lily Allen have been nominated for two Ivor Novello gongs.

The rapper, 24, real name Dylan Kwabena Mills, is in the running for Best Contemporary Song for Bonkers and Best Album for Tongue N' Cheek.

Lily's track The Fear is up for Best Song Musically And Lyrically and Most Performed Work.

Other nominees include Girls Aloud for The Promise in the Most Performed Work category and Paolo Nutini for Sunny Side Up for Best Album.

A number of other awards - including Lifetime Achievement - will be announced on the day.

The 55th Ivor Novello Awards take place at London's Grosvenor House on Thursday 20 May.
