Abbey Clancy: I used to wear six-inch platforms to Tesco

Model liked to dress up to go to shops

Abbey Clancy is engaged to footballer Peter Crouch

Abbey Clancy prefers to look smart when she heads to the supermarket.

The model - who is engaged to footballer Peter Crouch - says girls go all-out in her hometown. 

'In Liverpool we dress up even to go to the shops,' says Abbey.

'I used to wear six-inch platforms just to go to Tesco with me mam when I lived in Liverpool!'

But Abbey, 24, admits she often feels overdressed in the capital.

'When I get glammed up in London and go out with Peter and his friends they are all in jeans and Converse,' she tells the Sunday Mirror.
