Christopher Dean's wife says Dancing
On Ice is the reason their marriage broke down.

US-based Jill Trenary-Dean, 41, filed for divorce from the ice skating legend last year.

She says it was difficult to maintain a long-distance relationship while he worked in the UK.

‘It started as a few months away, but we ended up apart six months of the year - and that just isn't do-able,' explains Jill.

‘I love Colorado and this is where we decided to raise our kids. But it was one of those things that his career took off.

‘The success of the show, with long, long separations over almost five years now, isn't conducive to a happy marriage. It was the breaking point.'

Christopher, 51, and Jill got married in 1994 and are parents to Jack, 12, and Sam, 10.

He divorced first wife Isabelle Duchesnay in 1993.
