Jordan attended Elton John's Oscars party without husband Alex Reid

Last year, Jordan was proud to show off her then husband Peter Andre at Elton John's post-Oscars party. But fast-forward 12 months and it's a completely different story.

Jordan's new hubby Alex Reid was nowhere to be seen when she posed for photographers on the red carpet on Oscar night - and that's because his wife hadn't got him a ticket.

The official reason was that even though Alex was with his wife in LA, he was too busy training for his Bravo fly-on-the-wall martial arts series Fight Of His Life.

But would Alex - who dreamt of stardom while he lived at his mum and dad's house until the age of 34 - really miss the chance to rub shoulders with the likes of Simon Cowell and Heidi Klum?

His work schedule that day was hardly taxing. Alex was pictured enjoying lunch with Jordan at The Ivy in LA before shopping for sexy lingerie.

A source reveals to Now: ‘Alex wasn't invited - Katie didn't want him stealing her thunder because this was her moment. He has his Bravo show and she had the Oscars party. That was the deal and Alex accepted it.

‘Katie should be proud to show him off, but instead it's embarrassing to her that she's married to Alex. His biggest claim to fame is winning a reality show. She reasons that he has his own agenda for being in America and she has hers, so they should stick to it.'
