Sara Cox announced she'd given birth on Twitter

Sara Cox has unveiled her newborn daughter for the first time.

The Radio 1 DJ and her partner Ben Cyzer welcomed baby Renee on Friday.

'Hi y'all, we had a beautiful baby girl at 8.30 this morning,' she wrote on Twitter.

'She's called Renee. So happy.'

Sara, 35, checked out of hospital yesterday and was happy to pose for pictures.

She was all smiles as she cradled Renee in a grey woolen blanket. 

Sara, who is now on maternity leave - and Ben are already parents to Isaac, 2.

She also has daughter Lola, 5, with her ex-husband Jon Carter.
