Ryan O'Neal 'disappointed' by Farrah Fawcett Oscars snub

Actor plans to send a letter to organisers

Ryan O'Neal isn't happy Farrah Fawcett was left out of the 'in memoriam' tribute at the Oscars.

Stars such as Patrick Swayze, Michael Jackson and Brittany Murphy were included in the segment, which was introduced by Demi Moore.

Ryan, 68, now plans to contact organisers about the snub. 

'I'm just as confused as everyone about it,' he tells TMZ. 'They have to explain it. I can't.

'Poor Farrah is all I can say. We're writing a letter, Tatum [O'Neal] and I. She was shocked too.'

His rep adds: 'There is no comment other than we were disappointed that she was not included.' 

Farrah died in June aged 62 after losing her battle with cancer.

She was best known for her role in the TV show Charlie's Angels.

But she had also starred in films including Extremities and The Apostle.

‘Every year it's an unfortunate reality that we can't include everybody,' Oscar spokeswoman Leslie Unger tells the Associated Press.
