Farrah Fawcett was left out of yesterday's Oscar tribute to those who passed away in the last year.

The Charlie's Angels actress died in June aged 62 after losing her battle with cancer.

Although Farrah was predominantly a TV personality, she also starred in films such as Extremities and The Apostle.

‘They have a whole lot of 'splaining to do,' critic Roger Ebert wrote on his Twitter.

Patrick Swayze, Michael Jackson and Brittany Murphy were included in the ‘in memoriam' montage, which was introduced by Demi Moore.

‘Every year it's an unfortunate reality that we can't include everybody,' Oscar spokeswoman Leslie Unger tells the Associated Press.

The tribute was accompanied by James Taylor singing The Beatles' In My Life.
