Cheryl Cole's husband Ashley gets psychologist visit in rehab

Chelsea bosses say it is normal procedure

Ashley Cole is recovering from injury in France

Cheryl Cole's estranged husband Ashley had lunch with a psychologist on Wednesday.

The meeting was arranged by Chelsea bosses and it took place at the French rehab facility where the footballer, 29, is being treated for a broken ankle.

‘It is a very normal procedure,' a club spokesman tells The Sun.

‘We have a duty of care to all our players and we regularly send members of our medical team to help them get fit, especially those undergoing long-term treatment.'

It follows allegations Ashley lost his cool with photographers earlier this week.

'My life is ruined,' he was reported as saying. 

Ashley, who is due to stay at the clinic until early next week, was dumped by X Factor judge Cheryl, 26, last week over allegations he cheated on her with several women.
