Joe McElderry: I wouldn't turn Andrew Lloyd Webber down

The X Factor winner interested in West End career

Joe McElderry was mentored by Cheryl Cole on The X Factor

Joe McElderry would love to work with Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The X Factor winner has been linked with roles in the West End because of his background in musical theatre.

'If the offer was there [from Andrew Lloyd Webber] I certainly wouldn't turn it down, I'll tell you that,' he tells Now. 

Joe, 18, would like to try his hand at treading the boards. 

'There's nothing wrong with musical theatre,' he says. 'Some of the biggest singers in the world are there.'
