Ashley Cole plans new life in Spain

Unloved by Cheryl and Chelsea, Ashley eyes up a move to Barcelona

Ashley and Cheryl Cole are now separated

Ashley Cole looks set to flee the country permanently now that wife Cheryl Cole has booted him out.

There seems little hope of the Girls Aloud singer ever taking him back and her mum Joan has even packed his bags at their home in Oxshott, Surrey.

Now Ashley, 29, is eyeing up a move to Barcelona, as he feels unloved by Cheryl and his Stamford Bridge bosses.

Reports suggest that Chelsea plan to heavily fine the full-back following allegations that he smuggled local government worker Ann Corbitt into his hotel room in Seattle last year and lied to club officials to cover his tracks. 

According to insiders, Ashley feels aggrieved that he's being singled out when club captain John Terry escaped any punishment after a fling with Vanessa Perroncel, girlfriend of teammate Wayne Bridge.

'Ash feels like the victim in all this especially as it's not football related, so why should he be punished? He knows he can pick any club in Europe, who'd have him at the drop of a hat,' says a pal.

'Barcelona have been keeping tabs on him for the last two years. He may be a lousy husband - but he's still a brilliant footballer.'

A Chelsea club spokesman says: 'This is a private matter for Ashley Cole.
