Alex Reid is a cage fighter

Alex Reid has defended wife Katie Price after she put false eyelashes on daughter Princess Tiaamii.

The glamour model, aka Jordan, has faced criticism in the tabloids and from ex-husband Peter Andre, 36, for letting the 2-year-old be photographed in make-up.

But Celebrity Big Brother winner Alex, 34, insists it was just innocent fun.  

'The accusations in the press last week that Kate isn't a good mum because she let Princess try on her false eyelashes and straighten her hair made me really angry,' he says.

'Princess was just sat on Kate's lap and said she wished she could have eyes like mummy, and so they just put the false lashes on her for a few minutes. It was a joke!'

Alex says Katie, 31, has been deeply hurt by the slurs. 

'The whole thing ended up being taken totally out of context and it annoyed me because people then started coming out and criticising Kate's parenting skills,' he writes in his Star diary. 

'It was very upsetting for us both to hear that stuff - we're only human after all.'
