Ant and Dec: Cheryl Cole’s in our Geordie mafia

The TV duo tell how they’ve welcomed Chezza into their secret club

Ant and Dec talk exclusively to Now

Cheeky telly hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are rooting for fellow Geordie Cheryl Cole.

'Cheryl's lovely and it's great to see her doing so well - not just as a judge on The X Factor, but with her solo career, too,' says Dec. 

'It's good because the public voted for her on Popstars: The Rivals all those years ago - it's all paid off.'

The boys, both 34, believe in backing other entertainers from the Northeast.

'There's a Geordie mafia,' quips Ant. 'Joe McElderry's another one. 
We always look out for each other.'

The boys are too busy presenting to commit to any reality shows as contestants, but Ant fancies himself as a celebrity chef.

'I'd be good on Come Dine With Me. I love cooking,' he says. 'My signature dish is anything involving meatballs - any balls. I'm good at meaty balls.'
