Jessica Simpson to give up pork for pet pig?

Singer contemplates becoming a vegetarian

Jessica Simpson lost her beloved dog Daisy five months ago

Jessica Simpson is considering getting a pet pig.

The singer, 29, says she might go vegetarian if she does purchase the farm animal. 

‘I'm thinking about getting a pet pig,' Jessica wrote on Twitter. ‘Does this mean I'll have to give up pork?'

But Jessica's post hasn't impressed animal-rights group PETA.

‘Pigs, who are smarter than dogs and every bit as sensitive to pain and stress, don't belong in Jessica's stomach or carted around as her latest accessory,' a rep tells Us Weekly.

Jessica's five-year-old maltipoo, Daisy, was snatched by a coyote from her LA home in September.

Paris Hilton adopted a pig called Princess Pigelette last year.
