Tess Daly: Vernon rang me over Twitter split rumours
Tess Daly says Vernon Kay called her after seeing Twitter comments suggesting they'd split.
Followers jumped to the wrong conclusion when she didn't wear her wedding band on TV.
‘I left my rings off for Strictly one night because I had a shower and put my body cream on,' explains Tess.
‘Vernon rang me up and said, "Oh my God! Twitter is going mad, they think we've split up".'
Tess, 40, admits fans can often get the wrong end of the stick.
‘I particularly like [wearing] empire-line gowns because otherwise viewers always think I'm pregnant,' she tells You.
Last week, Family Fortunes star Vernon, 35, publicly apologised to Tess for sending saucy messages to five women.
