Cheryl Cole removes wedding ring for Brits performance

The X Factor judge takes off gold band

Cheryl Cole got a standing ovation when she sang at the Brit Awards

Cheryl Cole took to the stage without her £160,000 wedding ring at last night's Brit Awards. 

The X Factor judge performed a fusion of Fight For This Love and 1993 classic Show Me Love at the Earls Court ceremony.  

She kicked off her set in a white mac and aviator sunglasses before ditching them for a sparkly black bodysuit. 

Cheryl, 26, received a standing ovation from the audience and was greeted backstage by Girls Aloud bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts. 

Earlier this week, her husband Ashley, 29, was accused of cheating on her on two occasions in late 2008 with a secretary.

The Chelsea footballer, 29, is also alleged to have sent a series of photos and texts to the unidentified woman.
