Boyzone to record Stephen Gately tribute show

Programme will air on ITV in the spring

Stephen Gately catches the show
Singer Stephen Gately died in Majorca in October at the age of 33

Boyzone are working on a TV special in honour of Stephen Gately.

Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham and Shane Lynch will sing a medley of their hits.

And the group will share memories of Stephen during the one-hour show.

The lads will also showcase new material they completed before the 33-year-old's death in October.

'Stephen would be delighted to have a night dedicated to him,' manager Louis Walsh, 57, tells the Daily Mail.

'And I know he'll be watching down on us all on the night a big smile on his face.'

Boyzone: A Tribute To Stephen Gately will be broadcast in the spring.

Meanwhile, the children's book Stephen was working on before his death is to be published in April.

Family and friends helped complete fantasy novel The Tree Of Seasons and Sir Elton John has written the foreword.
