Dane Bowers wants Katie Price to reveal her true personality

Dane Bowers is still very fond of ex-flame Katie Price.

The former Another Level singer dated Katie - aka Jordan - in 1998 but they split in 2000 when the glamour model, 31, became increasingly suspicious of Dane's friendships with other women.

‘I'll always care for Kate because I know how nice she can be,' says Dane, 30. But he does wish the mum-of-three would learn when to shut up.

‘So often she ruins it,' he says. ‘Surely you'd tell her: "You're an absolute kn*b," for some of the things she comes out with. I would and she knows that.

'I wouldn't like to see anything really horrible said about her, but sometimes I just thnk: "She's asking for it". Which is a real shame.'

Dane, who split from wife Chrissy Johnston last year, was surprised to find he got on with Katie's current love, Alex Reid, during his stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

The pair were reported to have had a confrontation at a New Year's Eve party but there was no tension between them onscreen.

‘He was a bit of a plonker at times, but we had some good laughs,' says Dane. ‘I couldn't have been with someone who'd been with my missus, but he dealt with it like a proper gent.'
