Tess Daly: Vernon can be like a giddy child on Twitter

Presenter says he forgets he has followers

Tess Daly joked that Vernon Kay could be a 'giddy child' on Twitter before it emerged he'd used the site to send saucy messages to other women.

The Family Fortunes star admitted this week to texting and emailing five females, including Page 3 girl Rhian Sugden, 23.

In an interview with She magazine, Tess recalled the time Vernon, 35, uploaded a picture of her in her bikini to the micro-blogging site.

‘I was furious,' says Tess. 'We were just messing around in the garden having a water fight with Phoebe.

‘I'd only given birth ten weeks before - I didn't expect anyone to see the pictures.

‘Vernon can be like a giddy child sometimes and had all the best intentions.

'But he sometimes forgets that when he's having a laugh on Twitter with his friends there are thousands of people following him.'

Strictly Come Dancing host Tess, 38, also insisted she could never doubt Vernon, 35.

‘I know that he loves our family so much,' she added. ‘It's far too precious for him to jeopardise it. I trust him totally.'
