Kevin Federline's weight ballooned after his split with Britney Spears

Kevin Federline realised he needed to lose weight after seeing unflattering photos of himself in the press.

The former dancer shot up to 240lbs (17st) following his divorce from Britney Spears in 2006.

‘When I saw [the pictures], I did not think that I was that big,' explains K-Fed, 31.

‘I thought it was Photoshopped, you know? And then I realised that I was just letting myself go. I looked pregnant.

'It was upsetting. It's [usually] easy for me to brush stuff off of my shoulder. [But] when I see pictures [of me] like that, and people are calling me "K- Fat", I had to do something about it.'

Kevin says his weight gain affected his relationship with sons Sean Preston, 4, and Jayden James, 3.

‘I couldn't run around with my children as much,' he tells Entertainment Tonight.

‘I was being lazy and over-eating. I've always been a fit guy, so those were wake-up calls for me.'

Kevin has now joined VH1 show Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp to get his trim body back.
