Heidi Montag: Mum looked at me as if I was a circus freak

Heidi Montag is married to Spencer Pratt, her co-star in The Hills

Heidi Montag is disappointed mum Darlene Egelhoff isn't happy with her makeover.

The Hills star had 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day in November.

Heidi, 23, recently flew to her family home in Colorado with a camera crew for the MTV programme to show off the results to her mother.

‘I was nervous, but also excited...I never thought in my wildest dreams she was going to react the way she did,' she explains.

‘She was looking at me almost like a zoo animal. It wasn't like I was her daughter anymore. She was looking at me like I was a circus freak.'

Heidi and Darlene were unable to resolve their issues during their meeting.

‘She was saying how sad it is that my confidence is gone because of the music industry I'm trying to get into,' she tells People.

‘I tried to leave it as best as I could, but my heart was breaking.'
