Actor insults journalist after TV grilling

Mel Gibson says he's moved on

Mel Gibson called a TV reporter an a**ehole following an awkward interview.

The actor was being grilled about his 2006 arrest for drink-driving by WGN-TV journalist Dean Richards. 

'That's almost four years ago, dude,' said Mel, 54, who was speaking via satellite link.

'I've done all the necessary mea culpas. Let's move on.'

A nervous Dean quickly wrapped up the interview. 

But before the satellite feed went off, Mel could be heard muttering 'a**ehole' under his breath.
