Charlie Sheen's wife leaves hospital after pneumonia ordeal

Brooke Mueller is now on the mend

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller have ten-month-old twins Max and Bob

Charlie Sheen's wife has checked out of the LA clinic where she was being treated for pneumonia.

Brooke Mueller, 32, was admitted to the intensive care unit at Sherman Oaks Hospital after developing an infection following oral surgery.

'I picked her up [Monday night] and brought her to a friend's house in Los Angeles where we will stay until we decide what we are going to do and where we will go,' her mum Moira Fiore tells People.

Charlie and Brooke's ten-month-old twins Max and Bob will stay with him while she recovers. 

'Brooke can't be there right now because the children have germs so as soon as she gets healthier, she will move back into the home,' her lawyer Yale Galanter tells E! Online.

While Brooke was in hospital, a Colorado judge modified a temporary restraining order barring Charlie from contacting her.

But it's now back in place, and a further hearing will be held on 8 February.

Charlie, 44, was arrested in Aspen on suspicion of assault, menacing and criminal mischief on Christmas Day.

He denies allegations he threatened Brooke and lawyers for the couple have since indicated they want to reconcile.
