Britney Spears to auction VMA dress for Haiti

Singer is selling her Atelier Versace frock

Britney Spears won three trophies at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2008

Britney Spears is auctioning the dress she wore to the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.

Cash from the sale of the Atelier Versace frock will be donated to the Haiti earthquake appeal.

A commissioner had to approve the request, because the
singer remains under a court-ordered conservatorship.

Her dad Jamie has control of her personal and financial affairs.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston has forked out $500,000 to help the disaster relief efforts.

The money will go to Doctors Without Borders, Partners In Health and AmeriCares.

Jennifer, 40, helped man the donation hotlines during Friday's Hope For Haiti Now telethon.
