Cheryl Cole: I have a maternal instinct

X Factor judge likes being around kids

Cheryl Cole's fellow X Factor judge Dannii Minogue is expecting a baby

Cheryl Cole admits she is a bit of a mother hen. 

The X Factor judge, 26, says she's always looking out for those she cares about. 

'I think even within Girls Aloud, I do harbour quite a maternal instinct,' Cheryl tells OK!

'I don't know whether that's down to always having kids around, having lots of nephew and nieces.'

But Cheryl says she's 'not quite' ready to start a family with husband Ashley, 29.
