She's stunned by the backlash after she has 10 procedures in one day, destroying her beauty

She underwent 10 cosmetic surgery procedures in just one day to achieve her dream body, but devastated Heidi Montag is now facing a negative backlash from friends and fans.

The 23-year-old reality TV star spent a whopping £18,600 in November on a head-to-toe body makeover, including a brow lift, a second nose job, liposuction and breast augmentation, taking her from a C to an F cup.

Despite being initially delighted with the surgery, Heidi's happiness has turned to despair as fans have rounded on her, branding her obsessed.

Last week her Hills co-star Lo Bosworth said: ‘I hope girls don't look at the decisions Heidi made and think that's normal.'

Now friends say Heidi - who revealed her new body in a US magazine two weeks ago - is devastated.

‘She did the magazine piece on the surgery because she thought women should know that these things don't just happen magically and that they carry risks,' a friend tells . ‘But she wasn't prepared for this reaction.'

Heidi's co-star Audrina Patridge (pictured) has also spoken out about the surgery, saying: ‘Ten procedures in one day is a little too much.'

It's these comments from her friends that have hurt Heidi the most and sources say she's feeling betrayed.

‘Heidi expected the people she calls friends not to comment publicly. She's angry at what's been said,' says our source.

Horrified by the negative reaction to her surgery, Heidi - who had her first nose job and boob job in 2007 - went on US TV show Good Morning America last week to defend her actions.

She said: ‘If I were addicted, I would have had 10 plastic surgeries; I mean 10 times. I really had two different surgeries. I had one three years ago, then one where I had several procedures done at once weeks ago.'

Heidi hit the spotlight in 2006 when she landed a part in reality show The Hills, where she met Spencer Pratt, 26, who she married - twice - last year.

Heidi's desperate to launch herself as a pop star and this was part of her motivation for surgery. Her ambitions to crack the music business seem to outweigh her concern over reaction to her surgery.

She's already planning more ops, including having her breasts increased to an H cup.

Heidi says: ‘I plan to keep using surgery to make me as perfect as I can be.

‘I was made fun of when I was younger and so I had insecurities. People said I had a "Jay Leno chin". They'd circle it on blogs and say nasty things. I was an ugly duckling before.'
