Mel B: Angel calls Stephen Belafonte 'Dad'

Scary Spice says Eddie Murphy has no involvement with their daughter

Mel B dated Eddie Murphy in 2006

Mel B has revealed that her daughter Angel thinks of Stephen Belafonte as her father.

The singer conceived the 2-year-old while dating Eddie Murphy in 2006.

But the couple split before the birth in April 2007 and the Hollywood actor has had no involvement in Angel's upbringing.

‘I have full custody of Angel,' explains Mel. ‘He doesn't see her, doesn't want to see her. That's just the way it is.

‘But Angel - she calls Stephen daddy. Her sister's her sister, not her half sister. She's very content. She doesn't know any different.'

Mel, who married Stephen in June 2007, says she's accepted the situation and just wants to get on with her life. 

‘Everything is what it is,' she tells Hello! 'And Angel's a really happy kid.'

Mel, 34, is also mum to Phoenix, 10, with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar.
