Angelina Jolie replaced as face of St John

Redhead Karen Elson takes over role

Angelina Jolie has six children with partner Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie is no longer representing clothing brand St John.

The luxury knitwear company has replaced the actress with redhead Karen Elson.

‘[Angelina] overshadowed the brand,' says chief executive officer Glenn McMahon tells WWD.

‘We wanted to make a clean break from actresses and steer away from blondes and cleanse the palette.

‘We needed to show a modern point of view of St John. We have evolved.'
