The star got down on one knee at the Wasted Space bar at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas on Friday.
AJ, 32, decided to pay a visit to a jewellery store moments earlier, and came back with a sparkler.
As the clock struck midnight - marking the start of his birthday - he took to the stage to make his announcement.
Rochelle accepted the proposal.
