Singer snapped with sparkler for first time

Katy Perry and Russell Brand got together in September

Katy Perry has been photographed with her engagement ring for the first time.

The I Kissed A Girl singer debuted her £30,000 sparkler as she arrived at fiancé Russell Brand's north London home yesterday.

'Katy adores it and more so because Russell picked it himself,' a source tells the Daily Mirror. 

Russell, 34, proposed in India on New Year's Eve with a Cartier ring that features a 2-carat rock embedded on a thick gold band.

He and Katy, 25, have since jetted off to the States to celebrate the news with her family.
