With an all-out bid to reignite their romance, a lonely Jennifer Aniston's been bombarding Gerard Butler with phone calls, sexy texts and emails.

The lovelorn actress has told friends that she's determined to snare the Scottish actor for a second time after their romance earlier this year hit the rocks.

Jen had a short fling with Gerard when they filmed The Bounty, but ended it when she felt her heart still lay with John Mayer.

But now, bored with his immature mind games and his on-off status with Jessica Simpson, Jen wants to have another whirl with the womanising Gerard.

‘Jen thinks she made a mistake breaking up with Gerard and she's desperate to win back his affection,' an insider tells Now. ‘She's been calling, texting and emailing him every day.

'Some of their exchanges are steamy, to say the least. Jen knows Gerard's a rogue but that's what she loves about him. She's flirting with danger by going back to him as he's already humiliated her by publicly denying their affair.'
