Fragile Tina O'Brien: I can’t cope alone

She’s struggling with life as a single mum as her split with Corrie co-star Ryan Thomas turns ugly

Tina and Ryan dated for six years before their split earlier this year

Tina O'Brien started 2009 with a new baby and a fiancé, but now the young actress is fearful of a future caring for 15-month-old daughter Scarlett without Ryan Thomas.

‘Tina cries every single day,' a friend tells Now. 

‘She's been texting and calling Ryan in the hope of a
reconciliation, but he's convinced that it's all over. It's getting
extremely difficult.

'It's hard to believe things have got this frosty between them.'

Police were called to the home Tina, 26, used to share with Ryan 
in Cheadle Heath, Manchester, on 11 December after reports of an assault.

Ryan, 25, vehemently denied the claims, saying in a statement: ‘I'd like to make it clear that I have not assaulted and would never assault Tina. The police were satisfied this was the case and I was released without any action being taken.'

‘They rowed a lot about who was going to have Scarlett over Christmas,' says Now's insider. 'Tina claims they fought this time because she thought Ryan was holding a poker night at the house - something he's denied.' 

The incident was a sad sign of how bitter things have become since their break-up in November but practical details have to get sorted.

'Their financial affairs are intertwined,' explains one insider. 'They own several properties together that they rent out and they have to agree something they're all happy with when it comes to Scarlett. It could get messy.'
